STRAWBERRY SANDWICH

Ingredients:

4 slices bread sliced lengthwise
3-4 strawberries
1-2  tbsp butter
salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Toast bread slices either in a toaster,OTG or on a plain or griddle pan.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place strawberries on buttered side of two bread slices and sprinkle salt and pepper.
  4. Cover each of them with the remaining two bread slices, cut diagonally and serve immediately.

CHEESY MIX VEG SANDWICH



Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4 

Ingredients:

8 bread slices
1 bowl cheesy mix veg
oil or butter for greesing

Method:

  1. Grease the bread slices from one side and place filling on the other side of the slice and cover it with another slice of bread keeping the greased side out and toast it in a sandwich maker.

BREAD DHOKLA

Ingredients:

4 slices of bread
1/2 cup thick curd
1 green chili finely chopped
1/2' piece ginger grated
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp mustard seeds
4-6 curry leaves
1 tsp powdered sugar (optional)
salt to taste
oil for shallow frying

Method:

  1. Take curd in a bowl and mix salt, sugar ,garam masala powder,chopped chilis,chopped curry leaves  and grated ginger in it.
  2. Trim off the edges of the bread and spread a nice thick layer of curd mixture over one slice of bread and place the other bread slice over it,repeat the same with other slices as well.
  3. Now heat a tava (griddle) or flat base pan and pour 1 tsp oil on it and then put some mustard seeds in this oil and quickly place one sandwich on the crackling mustard seeds and lightly press it with a spatula.
  4. Now pick up the sandwich with spatula and again pour some oil on the griddle and mustard seeds and place the uncooked side of the bread on the crackling mustard seeds.
  5. Cook from both sides till it becomes light brown in color.Repeat the same with the other sandwich.
  6. Cut the sandwich in desired shape and serve with tomato ketchup.

CHECKERS SANDWICH

Serves: 3

Ingredients:
3 slices brown bread
3 slices white bread
2 tbsp mayonnaise or cream cheese or any other spread 

Method:
  1. Trim the edges of 3 brown bread slices and 3 white bread slices.
  2. Take one brown bread slice and spread some mayonnaise (or cream cheese or any other spread so that bread slices stick to each other) on it.
  3. Then a white bread slice and spread some mayonnaise over it, repeat the process with rest of the slices.




4.   Now cut this sandwich into four equal slices and again spread mayonnaise over each slice.

        5.  Now place the slices over each other in such a way that one brown strip is placed over one white and then a layer in which one white strip is placed over one brown strip.


       6.     Now again cut the bread into four slices and your checkers sandwich is ready.

MANGO AALU BHUJIYA SANDWHICH

1 mango pealed and sliced

  2. Place mango slices on one slice of bread and sprinkle aalu bhujiya on it.
  3. Put another slice on the above and cut the sandwich diagonally.

CHEESE CAPSICUM SANDWHICH

Ingredients:
1 onion finely chopped
1 capsicum finely chopped
1 cup cottage cheese(paneer)
1/2 tsp salt or to taste
1/4 tsp black pepper or to taste
2 tbsp pizza pasta sace/tomato ketchup
8-10 bread slices

Method:
  1. Trimm off the edges of each slice of bread.
  2. Mix rest of the ingredients in a bowl except pizza pasta sauce or tomato ketchup.
  3. Spread pizza pasta sauce or tomato ketchup on each slice of bread.
  4. Spread the mixture on one bread slice and put another slice on it.
  5. Repeat the process with rest of the slices.
  6. Cut these sandwhiches in the desired shape.
  7. You can grill it in an OTG or a griller or patty maker or you can simply roast it on a tava or a griddle pan.
  8. Serve it with ketchup or a dip of your choice.

CHEESY GARLIC TOAST

Ingredients:
bread slices (garlic bread or ordinary bread)
salsa sauce
mozzarella cheese
pizza sauce
oil
dried mixed herbs to sprinkle

For toppings
veges of your choice like coloured bell peppers, onions, olives mushrooms etc.

Method:

  1. Greese the slices from both sides
  2. Spread pizza pasta sauce on one side then salsa sauce. 
  3. Now add grated cheese and then the toppings.
  4. Bake in an oven at 180-200 C for 10 minutes or till the cheese melts and is brown in colour.
  5. Sprinkle mixed dried herbs and serve hot with sauce.

  2. Mix rest of the ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Spread the mixture on one bread slice and put another slice on it.
  4. Repeat the process with rest of the slices.
  5. Cut these sandwiches in the desired shape.
  6. You can serve it like that only otherwise you can grill it in an OTG or a griller or patty maker or you can simply roast it on a tava.
  7. Serve it with ketchup or a dip of your choice.
